Beautiful and way off the beaten path, Kingston Lake is in the Upper Peninsula near Grand Marais, Michigan. Inland from Lake Superior about 3 miles, this is wild Michigan, and part of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We used to take largemouth bass and pike from this lake, and knew there were muskie to be had but never actually caught one. The lake has suffered from acid rain in recent years.
